About Us

Petite Paws Bed and Bark-Inn is owned and operated by Judy Hill. Read below to learn about this dog lover who is looking forward to providing care for your beloved small dog.

Judy Hill

As an adult, Judy has owned dogs for the past 30 years. Her first was a Cocker Spaniel named Bouncer. A year after Bouncer became such a large part of her life, she got a playmate for him and since then, has never owned less then 2 dogs. The more, the merrier!

You probably noticed Papillons featured prominently in photos on this website. Judy got her first Papillon in 1993 and soon became very passionate about the breed. In 1998, she became involved with Papillon Rescue and has been fostering homeless Papillons as needed since that time. She currently serves as Regional Coordinator and Vice-Chair of the Papillon Club of America Rescue. It is Judy's experience as a foster mom that makes her uniquely qualified to run the Petite Paws Bed & Bark-Inn. As a foster home, she has cared for some Papillons who have been very ill, some aggressive, many very frightened of humans, and has fallen in love with each and every one of them.

Judy wants you to know that her feeling has always been that she would never leave her own small dogs with anyone other than family or a friend with Papillons. She has found that most other small dog owners are just like she is... if they couldn't find someone they trusted to care for their precious babies, they just didn't leave town. That is when the idea for a boarding and day care facility solely for small dogs came to her. The time was right to start thinking about her own retirement and she knew she could do something she loved while providing a much needed service.

Thus, Petite Paws Bed and Bark-Inn was born! This venture allows her to know and love many small dogs while also spending lots of time with her own. It is her most fervent wish that you allow her the honor of caring for your own precious dog.
